Jane has been creating beautiful watercolors for over 40 years. She paints in an impressionistic style, with fast, intuitive strokes, using fresh, vivid colors. She loves to experiment with new colors, watercolor techniques, and other media. With inspiration from God and nature’s beauty, colors blossom on her palette.

In her 23 moves with retired Navy Captain husband, Chuck, she has painted beauty around her wherever she went. As she traveled and lived in various parts of the country, Jane studied with a number of well-known watercolorists, including Charles Reed, Bill McEnroe, Tom Lynch, and Jeanne Dobbie.

Since settling down for retirement in Olympia in 1986, her work has taken on a distinct northwest flavor with landscapes of local scenes, maritime subjects, and flowers dominating her choice of subjects. Jane’s lovely work graces the homes of art lovers from coast to coast.
