Maggie is a PNW based artist known for her florals, both abstract and stylized whimsical. She works in acrylic collage, watercolor and gouache. The natural world is her muse, being a hiker and gardener, so she uses her photos back in her home studio, along with quotes or inspirational words she writes directly onto the panel. She hand textures her collage papers using acrylic paints and inks. She has been fortunate to have studied with Este MacLeod of the UK, Julie Hamilton of Whistler, and Jacqui Beck in Seattle. Maggie's view of art is it's a universal language to share with the world, not only beauty and joy found in nature, but the emotions that we all experience in life, grief, loss and calmness.
